Goodbyes

Some mutual friends and long-time workers once told James and I that the life of a worker is a life of goodbyes. This is a truth that has already become a reality for us. We have been saying our goodbyes for nearly three months now, and none of them have been easy. It is a cost that we counted and are now paying. And it hurts. A ton.

We know that it’s not only our sacrifice, but yours too. Thank you for sending us. Thank you for supporting us. Thank you for praying for us. Thank you for letting us go.

Please know that it’s our desire to stay in touch. Please keep us involved in your lives! Our life can be very isolating—we would love it if you would keep us up-to-date on the baby’s first word, your case of flu, who last won at bones, and how sunburnt you got on vacation. We will miss you, but we don’t want to miss out!
